Maybe, as with Terri Schiavo, R's are Overreaching?

According to the level comments on this absurd blog, there's a chance that all this euthanasia scare is going to fall flat. As with Terri Schiavo, when the Republicans tried to step in to prevent the removal of feeding and hydration tubes in the midst of a media mess, the American public balked. It's been said to be the beginning of the end of the Bush administration.

Could the Republicans be again overreaching with accusations of euthanasia? Does the public really think that asking Americans to think about end of life decisions is governmental coercion of euthanasia?
