Provider Refusal and The Great Exodus of Doctors.

Here it comes, y'all. A storm of "conscience clause" or provider refusal media is about to head our way, aimed at convincing us that asking a doctor to honor patients' rights will drive them out of their field.

Check out this video from Freedom2Care.org:

By the way, Catholic hospitals manage about 1 in 5 beds in the US. Providers at most of these hospitals are subject to the Catholic church's Ethical and Religious Directives (ERDs) which restrict reproductive and end of life services. Just today the USCCB announced they are revising their policy regarding artificial nutrition and hydration (ANH) to be mandatory care, not to be denied by the patient or their family in any case, including that of persistent vegetative state patients.

Thanks, Sage-femme Collective, for commenting. I agree this is part of an effort to scare the public into conscience clauses.

I have heard that this book you link to may not have completely reputable information in it but thanks for the link. I'll have to check it out myself.
