On This Day Last Year...

While in Johannesburg, Matthias and I had a chance to do a little exploring. If you read here often, you know that I have a thick file of graffitti photos that span from Japan to Cyprus.

But there's little graffitti in Africa; spray paint is hard to come by. Hell, in some of the places I went, soap was hard to come by regardless of the money you have in your pocket. So it was a treat for me to get to Johannesburg and find a thriving graffitti community. The photos here are from inside a pedestrian tunnel downtown.

The third shot is of Matthias in a gallery that we visited one afternoon.
